Article processing charge

No APC is charged for articles accepted until 31 December 2027. The APC is USD 500 per article for articles accepted from 01 January 2028.

The APC covers peer review management, production, DOI registration, hosting, indexing and long-term preservation. There are no submission or page charges.

Waivers and discounts

• Full or partial waivers for authors without funding and for authors based in low- and lower-middle-income countries (World Bank classification). Request a waiver from your manuscript page after acceptance.
• Discounts for invited papers, reviewers and editorial board members, and members of partner institutions.

Editors and reviewers do not know whether an APC is paid or waived; payment never influences editorial decisions.
